Caregiver support

Caregiver Support makes it easier for employees to balance their role as a family caregiver with their work life.

It is open to employees who assist an elderly or a disabled person with activities of daily living. The person receiving the care may be the employee’s spouse, the employee’s mother or father, or the child of the employee or their spouse.

Caregiver support includes:

A complete package of services and a dedicated care manager available any time and over the long term to:

  • Assess the needs of the caregiver employee
  • Facilitate their daily routine
  • Protect the employee’s health

The ability to fund leave for caregivers, by offering a daily allowance to employees who take:

  • Carer’s leave
  • Family solidarity leave, to be with a family member who is seriously ill
  • Parental presence leave, to be with a child requiring extensive care

Benefits

  • A package of services – domestic assistance, organizational assistance, psychological support, respite solutions, etc. – worth an estimated €2,000
  • Two personal protection options:
For the caregiver employee: remote assistance to help prolong independent living
For the employer: workplace training for human resources staff, managers and employees
