Back-to-work assistance
This service is a customized assistance program to ease an employee’s return to work after a long absence.
Conditions such as musculoskeletal disorders or lower back conditions and psychosocial risks such as stress can keep employees away from the workplace for extended periods of time, sometimes several months.
AXA offers a personalized program that will help employees return to the workplace after an extended sick leave due to these types of health problems.
Benefits of this service:
- Full medical checkup: an expert carries out a comprehensive medical and wellness assessment of the employee on sick leave.
- Work environment analysis: an expert examines workplace ergonomics, looking for repeated movements, and workstation layouts that could cause injuries to the employee.
- Physical exercise training: an exercise program is set up to help the employee get back the physical fitness needed to safely resume his or her previous work.
- Work assessment: if the employee is unable to achieve the physical fitness needed to resume his or her previous work, opportunities for an in-house transition to a new position are examined together with the employer and employee.
Employees can benefit from this service as soon as their sick leave ends, as recommended by an AXA physician.
